Designing Tips:

  • Use a grid for quick and easy mood boards containing a collection of images, color samples and other visual pieces. This practice will help you to find a common color palette or theme that can then be applied to a project
  • Keep it simple, but do not forget your bases. Make sure that each item has a reason to be in the design and keep the number of fonts, colors, shapes and frames to a minimum. Use contrasting color combinations tonal text is crisp and easy to read
  • The best way to ensure the aesthetic unity through a document or presentation is by duplicating pages and then edit the text and replacing images
  • Make sure you keep track of your layers - I'm usually a lot in any room - and keep things in order. I only use the selection of Illustrator, Direct Selection and Pen tools, because I prefer not to leave the plethora of software (admittedly very good) tools get in the way of my vision. It is all about simplicity and execution
