Designing Tips:

  • Push your creative abilities and skills of graphic design to create original graphics. Be inventive and experimental and choose and combine different types of characters and filters. Avoid trends and create models that fit your own unique style, leaving a personal stamp on your work
  • Choose a color palette that 1-3 primary colors and a 1-3 additional secondary colors that contrast and complement each other. Use different shades of the same color for consistency by adjusting the brightness for contrast. Finer characters will need stronger distinction on a colored background
  • Contrast is one of the most compelling parts of the design mood, readability and to highlight. Use a palette of contrasting colors background, fonts and graphics. Use photo filters to enhance positive space / negative in an image and apply black or white to copy to create optimum contrast against a background image
  • Do not be afraid to delete items to make a composition that you are happy with. I often think about an image for a long time before I started to illustrate - but sometimes I just start a line and form, then remove them. I take half of everything I draw, and from what the picture is changing
