Designing Tips:

  • Contrast is one of the most compelling parts of the design mood, readability and to highlight. Use a palette of contrasting colors background, fonts and graphics. Use photo filters to enhance positive space / negative in an image and apply black or white to copy to create optimum contrast against a background image
  • As elements repeat, brushes can work in a similar way. If you can identify a simple object used time and time again, that it may be easier to do so in a brush
  • Applying a grid to create a clean composition, using one of the photo carriers such as a text box
  • The most creative people think outside the box. Do not use the icons and symbols that you see everywhere typical to represent your subject. Research, sketches and print to find new and original icons to visually communicate with your audience
