If they want the Illustrator file, and you have many layers, but do not want to move them to a new work of art, one by one, it is easier to draw a large rectangle on the final image, Ctrl + right-click and select 'Create clipping mask. Apply a tint to your image the same as any block of color in your design consistency

Work from the beginning to CMYK and even if your final image is the vector, try to send it as TIFF. This will prevent any kind of color problem or involuntary change - in color or composition
